Here were some of the fun questions that we answered:

How did Pretty Little Vintage Co. come to be?

I have always loved everything that has to do with weddings and thought that it would be fun to bring something a little different to the area. I’ve always loved vintage furniture, props and decor but had a hard time finding a vendor that provided the items that I envisioned for our wedding. I knew that if I was looking for these items that someone else must be looking for them too!

What inspires you?

I love reading blogs and finding inspiration in magazines and on Instagram. I do still find a lot of pretty ideas on Pinterest too. We are still new to the area but in our short time here, we have met some amazing local vendors that are so inspirational. We love to collaborate with other Upstate New York wedding vendors and come up with fun photo shoots together.

How can today’s bride benefit from PLV?

We have so many options! Mismatched wooden chairs or rustic wooden benches are perfect for ceremony seating or at our amazing farm tables.

Our buffets, dressers, chippy tables and desks make great cake tables, drink stands, guestbook table, favor displays, donut bars and more. The possibilities are endless!

Vintage sofas and chairs make wonderful lounge areas for your guests and double as a great photo opportunity for the bridal party.

From wine barrels and crates to vintage sofas and table top decor, we have something for everyone.

A little over a year ago you were planning your own wedding, what advice do you have for future brides that you wish you knew before your wedding?

My advice would be to enjoy the whole process while it lasts and don’t stress over the little things. Actually, I miss all of the planning now.

This is going to be hard, but which piece if your favorite and why?

I have too many favorite items from our collection! My favorite furniture pieces are the ones that come from the sweetest people and the pieces that have a good story. We actually name our furniture and some of our sofas and chairs are named after the people that they belonged to.

I love love love my “Winnie”, “Maggie” and “Matilda” sofas.

How important are the latest wedding trends?

I like to read up on the latest wedding trends but I think it’s more important to meet with the couple to learn about their desired wedding look. I think it’s so important to bring out the couples personality through the pieces that we choose together for their big day.
