Copy of A Snowy Winter Wonderland Christmas Elopement in Upstate New York

Winter weddings in Upstate, New York seem to be far and few between – but we aren’t sure why. A group of super talented upstate NY wedding vendors came together to create some Christmas wedding magic and to show everyone just how beautiful a winter wedding or elopement in our own backyard can be.

We couldn’t have picked a better day. Our little town was hit with a huge snow storm a couple days before our shoot. With over two feet of snow in some places, we had to snow blow paths for us to pull this pretty styled shoot together and it was SO worth it.

From gingerbread houses, deep red and green details, to cozy blanket topped tables, cinnamon sticks and a hot cocoa bar - we love this inspiration shoot. We hope that you love the details as much as we do.

My favorites things from this shoot - of course, the amazing photos by Kim and the super in-love and adorable couple make the whole entire thing. BUT - I am seriously crushing on our new amber bottle collection, our sweet little green "Sage" display, and the coziest sweetheart table of all time.

The Couple

Funny story - Kelsea is actually from my home town! We didn’t really know each other growing up but she is a fellow creative who recently became engaged to her fiancé, Coty. They were absolutely perfect.

Invitations & Small Details

I swear Vinnie reads my mind sometimes. Before he delivered the floral to the warehouse, I saw a photo with cotton and thought it would be amazing and an unexpected wintery detail but it was too late to send him that idea. Of course, when he delivered the arrangements, he had already incorporated the dried cotton and brought extra for our to use! Perfection.

Gingerbread Cakes

Thank goodness for Katie, coming to my rescue to make our little gingerbread village. Turns out, I am NOT very good at decorating gingerbread houses so I left it to the professional and they turned out AMAZING. I will be sticking to velvet couches from here on out. Isn't this darling?

Sweetheart Table

The coziest blanket topped table for two. Our new pedestal table is perfect size for a sweetheart table but also looks just as gorgeous as a cake table, gift table and so many other things. We are excited to have added these "Harlow" emerald green chairs to our collection bot too long ago and I think this was the best way to debut them.

Reception Attire

We thought it would be fun to switch it up a little bit after the ceremony portion of the shoot. Kelsea let her hair down and we paired a chunky knit purple sweater with the most gorgeous skirt from Lea-Ann Belter Bridal. Tie up boots were the way to go with this much snow! How gorgeous are those trees?
