A Modern Twist on a Rustic Hayloft on the Arch Wedding in Vernon, NY

Melanie and Rob chose Vernon's vintage barn venue, Hayloft on the Arch, as their wedding venue and chose us at Pretty Little Vintage Co. to help make all of their decorating dreams come true. Allow us to walk you through their rustic ceremony and reception and see how we added some pretty little details to give their special day a modern twist.

First Look

We love first looks, and Rob's first look at his bride-to-be was as romantic and as touching as they come.

Ceremony

The sun was shining down on this sweet couple as they said "I Do" under an impressive white paneled arch with green foliage matching Vernon's vibrant green countryside.

Reception Details

There were so many unique elements that made up the newlywed's reception. Starting outside, Hayloft on the Arch provided drinks out of their silo-turned-bar with outdoor seating. Propped up against the bar is a cigar bar that we put together for the couple. We used our Charlie Buffet to display the cigars as well as some cigar props we curated. We also incorporated our Bennett Chairs to provide some comfortable seating that meshed with the bars industrial yet elegant theme.

Melanie and Rob's guests also got to meet some residents of Hayloft on the Arch. Their Highland Cow's with their unmistakable orange, fluffy coats were a welcome surprise.

Moving into the barn, this is where a dining area was set up for the newlyweds and their guests. As they were welcomed in, they could find their seat using signage custom-made by The Adirondack Ink. The couple chose our centerpiece package which included various lanterns, votives, and table numbers. We provided each table with our Gold & Glass Table Numbers and lanterns with votives so that each person could enjoy their meal and conversation under the soft glow of candlelight. Among our centerpieces were the most gorgeous floral arrangements put together by Whistlestop Florist.

The couple took advantage of our Darling Display Package which included our Charlie, Frenchie, and Presley displays as well as several cake stands. They used our white Presley Buffet to help create a memory table for the people in the newlywed's lives that weren't able to be there that day. While they could not attend physically, they joined the couple's celebration in spirit.

Our Frenchie Display was a stunning choice for the couple's desserts. Gingersnap Bakery went all out, providing them with cupcakes, cookies, and a four-tier wedding cake decorated with white roses and their shared last name.

First Dance

All eyes were on Melanie and Rob as they shared their first dance. As they held each other under the twinkling barn lights, I'm sure they were both soaking in such a romantic moment.

Cake Cutting

We're sure everyone got a laugh when the couple cut their cake and Rob ended up wearing some.

Sendoff

We don't think anyone wanted to leave when the time came, but Melanie and Rob had a beautiful sendoff. Sparklers were lit and Rob carried Melanie past all of their guests. They ended the night with one last kiss captured by Hitches & Unions Photo.
