A Creative Collaboration - Tuesdays Together Sackets Harbor, NY - Wedding Inspiration with a Valenti
Hi guys! We had a really fun shoot last week that I wanted to share with you. As some of you might know, I recently took over as leader of the Sackets Harbor Chapter of the Rising Tide Society's Tuesdays Together group. If you aren't familiar with the group, the Rising Tide Society was created to empower the creative economy to rise together, doing what they love. The Rising Tide Society has generated a community of over four hundred monthly meetups all over the world. They push the concept of "community over competition" and we are excited to spread the love here in our neck of the woods.
One of my favorite quotes from their website - "We believe that magic happens when creatives gather, support one another, and are empowered to pursue their passions." - Who wouldn't want to be a part of something like that?
We are a group of small-town, creative entrepreneurs that will meet the second Tuesday of every month at local places to discuss the provided guide and monthly topic. At the meeting this month, we had a lifestyle and wedding photographer, a local baker, a florist, an artist/shop owner, and our vintage rental company. February's topic was all about growth and collaboration. With Valentine's day coming up and most of us in the wedding industry, we thought it would be a fun to put together a styled wedding photo shoot with a little Valentine's day spin on things.
Kimmy from Kimberly Schuldt Photography took the photos for this styled shoot and was kind enough to let us use her cute studio in Henderson Harbor. I had never worked with Kimmy before this day but I am absolutely in love with the photos. Her photography style and attention to detail was so impressive. Thank you for hosting (and shoveling all that snow for us) I can't wait to make more pretty things happen together. All of the fun details are listed below. Be sure to comment and let us know what you love the most!
We used one of our white buffets to display our sweets bar. We picked up some strawberry donuts and Katie made a simple white wedding cake and the cutest heart shaped sugar cookies in all shades of pink. Katie, a regular PLV helper, is also a talented baker that owns Belle of Buttercream. She creates the yummiest cakes for so many of our shoots and if you haven't had any of her treats yet, you're missing out.
"Chloe" buffet, pink depression glass and white dessert stands, backdrop hoops, gold love props
What goes perfectly with cookies and cake? You guessed it. A little bubbly and some blush wine. We spray painted these super cute balloons to match our colors and love how it all came together.
Bar cart, vintage goblets, candles & props
Blush sequined linen with natural napkins and all shades of pink and red. Just in time for Valentine's Day or "Galentine's Day" - which we didn't know was a thing until this year. Etsy shop, Party Crush Studio has so many amazing pieces available for weddings and events. Her selection is incredible and she has every color, texture and fabric you could ever dream of.
Robin, from Designs of Elegance in Pulaski, NY put together a bunch of adorable arrangements AND two bouquets for us. One was inspired by the royal wedding and was SO gorgeous. Shout out to Robin and Faith for coming out to spend some time with us so close to their busiest day of their year. I had these wooden hoops that I thought would be a super cute backdrop for our dessert bar and statement sofa. Robin and I decided that we need a bride to do a huge backdrop of these floral hoops - don't you agree?
mismatched folding wooden chairs, gold flatware, white dishes, pink and clear goblets
When we were pulling props and pieces for this shoot, we wanted to use all things pink, linen and a little red. We set up a few lounge areas and of course had to have a statement sofa that stood alone. We knew that "Francesca" would be the perfect sofa for our Valentine's Day shoot. Tufted, pink and pretty as can be.
The blushing bride {to be} is Erin - who will actually be getting married herself this coming September. She wore two beautiful dresses from our friends at Bliss Tulle. All of the pieces were amazing quality and are separates that you can mix and match with different lace tops. You have to head over to their page and see all of the pieces they have available. We are so excited to be a small part of Erin's big day and cannot wait to work with her again at another shoot.
Mabel settee, Francesca sofa, Cecelia chairs, Allison chair, metallic end table, assorted pillows
We hope you love it as much as we did. If you're not following these talented vendors below, give them a follow and stay tuned for some Friday introductions this week on their pages. Also - if you own a creative business and are interested joining our group, shoot us a message! We would love to have you.
Happy Valentine's Day!
